SHIVERS CONCERT SERIES 2009 PRESENTS
July 19 - 2009 "Evening of Inspirational Song" featuring Alice E. Pegues-Miller
and The Celebration MultiCultural Choir - directed by Sam Bryant
A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Alice is a graduate of the University of Tulsa and has also earned her Master’s degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She has done additional post-graduate studies at Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey; the University of Phoenix; Lesley University; University of Maryland, Colorado State University and Denver University. Alice is an active member of the Riverside Baptist Church where she is involved with the youth, hospitality, and music ministries. She is a gifted soloist, former Music Educator, and Educational Administrative Assistant.
Alice has traveled extensively to perform and minister in venues across North and South America, Russia, Austria, Japan, Turkey, and South Africa. One of her most recent trips has taken her on a medical mission to Bali, Indonesia and to the island of West Timor, Indonesia. She returned to Cape Town, South Africa with students from the Riverside Student Adventures group last June to minister to the children of the Bavumeleni Children’s Center. Whether in concert, or on the mission field, Alice deems it a blessing, honor and privilege to serve and minister to others as she follows the Lord’s call on her life. She knows that she has been blessed to be a blessing.
